Charlotte train murder: Republicans on Ukrainian refugee killed

Republicans in North Carolina are demanding accountability after a Ukrainian refugee was fatally stabbed in a random attack last month on a commuter train. Those lawmakers and other Republican officials held a news conference on Wednesday morning to discuss the case involving the death of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, who had fled Ukraine amid Russia’s war was the victim of the attack. The Justice Department on Tuesday charged the suspect, Decarlos Brown with a federal crime that could carry the death penalty, something that President Donald Trump said should be the punishment for the crime.
