First on the Altec A5 and the followed by the A7. Speakers were driven by Audio Research and Conrad Johnson tube electronics. A short discussion on the modifications done to them to improve their sound and make them more suitable for home use.. The A5 has 1005B multicell horns with 288-16G compression drivers on GPA aluminum diaphragms. The A7 has 511B sector horns with 808-8B compression drivers on GPA aluminum diaphragms. Correction: It was mentioned in the video that the T350 is a Heathkit T350. That is incorrect. It is actually a rebadge EV T350 for Speakerlab. Sorry for the error. If you enjoy this video. We also feature unique DIY efforts that we deemed interesting for our viewers.
