"February 3rd: Veterans Commemorate the Royal Benevolence of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother" (Queen Mother's Royal Grace), organized by the Veterans Welfare Organization under Royal Patronage, at the Victory Monument. The event will run from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, commemorating the Queen Mother's profound benevolence towards the Veterans Welfare Organization and the families of veterans. This year is special because a key highlight is the ceremony to inter the ashes of 43 soldiers who died in the Thai-Cambodian border conflict that has dragged on since mid-2025. The parade will include a procession led by General Kantanat Nikoryanont, Director of the Veterans Welfare Organization, and his team; a parade of veterans paying tribute to the Queen Mother's benevolence; and a parade featuring veterans from seven different war series, marching from the Veterans Welfare Organization. The event will take place at the Victory Monument on Ratchawithi Road, where a wreath-laying ceremony and a ceremony honoring war veterans will be held. Later, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the Citizens' Reconciliation Group, led by singer-songwriter Nitipong Hornak, will hold a "Honor of Victory" event to honor the sacrifices of Thai soldiers. The event will include a concert featuring various artists such as 'Rang Orchestra' (songwriter of "Love You Thailand"), Saowaluk Leelabutr (female singer), Nitipong Hornak (singer-songwriter), Sumet Ongart (singer from the band "Sumet and the Pang"), and others. In addition to the concert, Anchalee Pairirak, one of the organizers, revealed that there will be speakers giving talks to the public attending the event, such as 'Colonel Bird' Wanchana Sawasdee, Deputy Spokesperson of the Royal Thai Armed Forces. Many may recognize him from his role as the film hero in "Legend of King Naresuan," as "General Kung," General Boonsin Padklang, former commander of the 2nd Army Region, and many others. The final highlight of the event at the Victory Monument will be laser "mapping" onto the monument itself to create various images in honor of soldiers. These include an image of the Thai flag that will rotate and encircle the monument, the names and pictures of soldiers who died in the Thai-Cambodian border conflict, and poppy flowers, the symbol of International Veterans Day. Note: The music performance will only be held on February 3rd. The laser projections will take place on February 4th and 5th, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Victory Monument.
