New excavations and restorations are underway in the Peacock Hall of the Villa of Poppaea at Oplontis (Pompeii Archaeological Park, Torre del Greco). These are yielding unprecedented data on the Second Style frescoes, the architectural layout of the room, and their relationship with the garden and surrounding landscape.
