NSW town of Batlow devastated by damaging bushfires
A man has died, dozens of livestock have been lost and at least 20 properties have been destroyed following a day of devastating bushfires on Sunday in the New South Wales town of Batlow. While some homes were remarkably saved - the town's petrol station burnt to the ground. A 47-year-old Goulburn man died of a heart attack while helping a friend defend their property, taking the state’s death toll from the current bushfire season to 18. Image: Getty
