Hi, everyone. I'm Evangeline right here at etrailer. Since every hitch box fits every car differently, today we're focusing in on how the Thule Arcos fits on the 2022 Tesla Model Y. The Arcos is a great option as an enclosed cargo box for when you have those adventures where you have a lot of gear or you have road trips where you need to load up with all the luggage and maybe you've already filled up your trunk and your front and you need a little bit more space, this is helpful for you. Now, this is specifically a very good fit with the Tesla for so many reasons, and we're gonna go over them. The first reason being the angle here from the car to the box, we have a bit more of an aerodynamic feel where it's not in the way and super bulky. Another feature here is that even without tilting away, we are able to open up the trunk area of our Tesla and get access into our hatch. So if I, let's say, had other gear in here, suitcases, luggage, maybe the cooler, because that's usually very important to stay inside the car, that's all fine and good. I get access to both the box and the hatch. Another thing here is not only do we have a good angle up top, we also have a good angle down below, meaning ground clearance. So the hitch on the Tesla is pretty low to the ground, and you'll notice that the platform of our box actually angles upwards, so we have a little bit more ground clearance. Now, I have our wiring harness attached here a little loose, so don't mind that. But do notice just how much space we have here. As a comparison, if I was measured from the end of the box to the ground, that's around 24 1/2 inches. Compare that to where our hitch receiver is, and that sits 14 inches off the ground. Now, we do have the two-inch EcoHitch installed here on our Tesla, as well as four-way wiring. So if you don't yet have hitch or wiring, well you can check our custom fit solutions right here on our site. Now, this will add a fair amount of length to the back of your car. So to measure for that, I'm gonna measure over the top here, right where our emblem is to the end of the box, that sits around 40 inches. So just think about that when you're parked or when you need to maneuver around town, that this will take up more space, but it's there because it gives you so much more space. So loading this up with luggage, cargo gear, things like that, you have 14 cubic feet of space, which is about how much you can load up in your trunk before you cover your window. And you have 110 pounds of capacity. So, like, what I did was I put a lot of our suitcases in the back of here on the box, as well as just other things that kind of crammed in there, like blankets, pillows, things like that. Now, as this is on your hitch, it also comes with the lights and the wiring, so, super helpful. I highly recommend, again, taking a look at our custom wiring options for a Tesla so that you could take advantage of that. So for example, when I flash the lights on the car, you can see that the box lights up as well. So great for safety, great for visibility, and you'll also have a license plate relocator. Since your license plate on your car is covered, you just move that on over to the box so you're still visible at all times. Now, I always recommend just taking the box off once you get to your travel destination, like your cabin, resort you're at, wherever you're going, and that we can drive around the box off and then just fold up the platform. Now, we can't quite do that here today because it is secured by two bolts. So it is a simple matter of removing those two bolts. But I wanted to show you that with those bolts in place, it's a very solid fit, very durable. So, the Thule Arcos really does just combine lightweight, a very sleek look, but also a lot of cargo capacity. If you have a big road trip coming up or you just find that you have this big adventure and you've got a lot of gear that you can't quite fit it all in your car, check out the Thule Arcos box.
