Customer Drove 15 HOURS...BMW: What's my OIL LEVEL???
After figuring out the AWD VTG No Communication problem, let's see why the car can't read the Engine OIL LEVEL! Of course there is no DIPSTICK, so the owner just dumps in a quart every 1000 miles "to be safe" xD The Engine Computer DME is setting a BSD Communication Failure because yes, the Oil Level Sensor is soooo smart, it talks on its own single-wire bus, shared with the Alternator.
