Morning Prayer, Monday, July 27, 2026 | My soul thirsts for you: Begin the week seeking God This Monday begins with a need that goes beyond tiredness, responsibilities, or the week's plans: the deep thirst of a soul that recognizes that no achievement, approval, or personal effort can fill the void that only God can satisfy. In this morning prayer, we place before the Lord the pressure of our tasks, the exhaustion of those facing a difficult week, the temptation to seek security in control, and the desire to receive strength that does not depend solely on our own abilities. We also give thanks because, even in the midst of inner dryness, God remains a living spring capable of renewing our hearts and restoring direction to our path. If, as you begin this week, you feel you need something deeper than simply "getting through" the day, write in the comments: "My soul thirsts for you, Lord." And if you know someone who wakes up this Monday exhausted, worried, or without the strength to face what lies ahead, share this prayer with them. This prayer can especially help you today to put God first before the rush and responsibilities fill your thoughts, to remember that you don't have to face a demanding week solely on your own, and to renew your heart when you feel you've tried to find satisfaction in things that never truly fill you.
