These charges could reach up to 40% of the original product price. With the help of actor Álvaro Gómez—of whom one of the salespeople was a great admirer—one of the participants in the scheme was exposed, revealing the entire network that was affecting the store's customers. Hites responded by dismissing the individuals involved and filing legal action against them.
