Making an Ionic Chiton: Easy Historical Costuming for Beginners | Rings of Power Cosplay

Are you wanting to get into historical costuming, but don't know where to start? Or are you an experienced maker who's looking for a quick stash-busting project? This is the video for you! I will walk you step by step through how to draft and hand sew an Ionic Chiton using historically accurate techniques as well as cosplay alternatives, as I take this ancient Greek dress and turn it into a versatile Rings of Power cosplay. And the best part of the whole thing is that this is truly the easiest gown in the world to make. Depending on how you cut your fabric, it's only 1-2 rectangles sewn together and hemmed. That's it! There are no era-specific undergarments you need for this make, you can just sew it and go, which makes it ideal for beginners. And it's also super comfy.
