Ismail al-Thawabta, Head of the Hamas Government Media Office, stated that all civil servants would continue working as usual and that all administrative processes for the transfer of authority had been completed. However, Israel doubted the move, calling it merely a political maneuver, as Hamas continues to refuse to disarm and maintains influence in Gaza.
