個股投資賺過錢也踩過坑,為什麼我後來把 00919 變成核心配置?
Recently, while organizing my stock holdings, I suddenly realized something: I have nearly 200 stocks. But what I want to talk about in this episode isn't "how many stocks I hold," nor is it to tell everyone to buy stocks like mine. What I want to discuss is the evolution of my investment journey over the past decade or so, hidden behind this stock holding list. I wasn't initially an ETF investor. What initially drew me to the market was the concept of "cash flow." Back then, I would research individual stocks, looking at the company's profitability, dividends, valuation, and price-to-earnings ratio, hoping to gradually generate income from my assets through investment. Fortunately, some early stock investments really helped increase my principal, and some stocks more than doubled. Later, I exited some positions, recovering my principal, allowing me to hold the remaining positions with more peace of mind. But not every investment is perfect. I've also had experiences of being stuck with losing stocks, making wrong judgments, and wanting to sell but being unable to. That feeling can't be solved by simply saying "stop loss." Because of these experiences, I later started allocating more funds to ETFs. This episode will discuss: ✅ Why I wasn't an ETF enthusiast initially, but was drawn to the market by the promise of cash flow. ✅ How individual stock investments helped me increase my principal. ✅ Why it's so difficult to actually sell when a stock is locked in. ✅ Why I later made 00919 the core of my cash flow portfolio. ✅ What roles do 006208, VOO, and 00919 play in my portfolio? ✅ Why I didn't want to take sides, but rather to divide my assets among different roles. ✅ ETFs may not make you rich overnight, but they may help you go further in the long run. ✅ How I view the trade-offs between high-dividend ETFs, index ETFs, and individual stock investments. For me, 00919 isn't a belief, but a cash flow tool. 006208 is a Taiwan stock index allocation. VOO is a long-term growth position in US stocks. The early individual stocks are my historical records from my investment journey. I'm increasingly convinced that investing isn't about proving yourself to belong to any particular camp. It's not about endlessly arguing about high-dividend, index, or individual stock strategies. What truly matters is: Can your portfolio support your lifestyle? Can your strategy give you sleepless nights? Can your assets last you through the next decade? If you're currently hesitating between individual stock investing and ETF investing, or considering how to allocate assets like 00919, high-dividend ETFs, 006208, and VOO within your asset allocation, this episode should be perfect for you. #00919 #HighDividendETF #ETFInvesting #AssetAllocation #WuMarkHappyFinancialInvestor 📌 Key Chapters of This Episode 00:00 Nearly 200 Stocks, Is Financial Freedom Imminent? My Real Stock Holdings Disclosed 02:17 This stock holding table isn't a perfect portfolio, but rather my investment record from individual stocks to ETFs. 04:47 I wasn't an ETF investor at first; I was drawn into the market by dividends and cash flow. 07:04 Early individual stock investments helped increase my principal and made me more confident in cash flow. 09:19 I fell into a trap with individual stock investments, and only after being trapped did I realize that stop-loss is truly not simple. 11:48 Why did 00919 become my core holding? The allocation logic of high-dividend ETFs. 14:07 My allocation isn't solely based on high-dividend ETFs, but rather a division of assets among 00919, 006208, and VOO. 15:45 When the market is hot, should you take the opportunity to increase your principal? Choosing Between Equity Stocks and ETFs 17:54 This holdings chart truly reminds me of three things: principal, mindset, and long-term discipline. 20:11 For those hesitating between individual stock investing and ETF investing. 21:32 ETFs have made it easier for me to establish long-term discipline, and I thank Mark Moneylife for his support along the way. 23:11 Conclusion: Investing is not about choosing sides, but about finding an asset allocation that suits you. 🔗 Tools and Resources Mentioned in the Video 📌 ETF Investment Tracker Wall | See my real ETF allocation record https://markmoneylife.com/etf-tracker/ 📌 ETF Compound Interest Calculator Tool | Calculate the results of monthly investment and dividend reinvestment https://markmoneylife.com/etf-compound/ 📌 ETF Dividend Chart Waterfall Wall | View ETF dividend information and charts https://markmoneylife.com/etf-dividen... 📌 ETF Research Lab | More ETF Analysis and Investment Notes https://markmoneylife.com/mark-etf-lab/ 📌 Newbie Investor Village Project | ETF Beginner's Guide https://markmoneylife.com/newbie-vill... 💬 Join our community for discussion Many investment issues are not just about the investment targets, but also about asset allocation, cash flow, mindset, and l...
