Drum Teacher Reacts: Motörhead - Sacrifice + Mickey Dee Drum Solo

This time I'm checking out Motörhead performing Sacrifice, followed by Mickey Dee's drum solo from Stage Fright, the band's 30th anniversary concert filmed in Düsseldorf, Germany in 2004 and released on DVD in 2005. Believe it or not, this was actually my first time watching live Motörhead footage. And wow... Mickey Dee absolutely blew me away. The power. The stamina. The consistency. The clean chops. This is proper stadium rock drumming. His solo has all the hallmarks of a great live drum solo—big ideas, incredible endurance and the kind of confidence that fills an arena without feeling overplayed.
