I doubt they will operate them again in fall 2026, and I do not plan to return here again for the reasons stated in the next paragraph. Rest in peace, my troublemaker engine that started this entire school bus hobby for me. While the VT365 may be a junk engine, it will always be my junk engine, just like IC BE number 1 will always be my school bus, the one that started it all for me. This is also very likely going to be the last video I ever do in my hometown area as sadly… I have looked back on my entire childhood after filming this video (the Berkeley Heights police ordered me to move to a park or a library instead of letting me continue to photograph any of the buses nor NJT trains despite they themselves saying I did nothing wrong. I generally do not face this much hostility in most of the places I visit to make these video.), and found it’s extremely exclusionary and hostile towards anyone who doesn’t fit their traditional norms (like me), and I realized I was indeed one of the targets even when I attended school there. How did I not realize this until now? I feel like my roots have been permanently stained and shaken up for the worse, which has really brought me down into heartbreaking tears. It’s incredibly lucky I even managed to survive up to my 2022 high school graduation with this channel intact. It’s also incredibly expensive to explore this area without a car as I don’t have a car, there’s an abysmal lack of sidewalks, and Uber/Lyft is expensive. And I need to save the funds for my other school bus spotting trips and the high cost of living in NJ in general, as I do not have any family support to lean back on. I won’t delete my old videos from 2019-2022 or anything, but I won’t ever be revisiting my hometown area again anytime soon, so I apologize to anyone who still wanted videos of Watchung Hills area school buses. I’m truly sorry and I wish I could have done more for y’all. :(
