Interpreting structures in the French Alps
On location in the NW Subalpine chains, follow Rob as he builds a cross-section through some remarkable folded limestones. The challenge lies in using the geology at outcrop - visible on mountainsides - to forecast the geological structure below ground - a basic task for geologists the world over. Rob has used this example, both on the ground and in the classroom, as atraining exercise for students and geological professionals.
