On Monday night, when a truck came to load sand, it got stuck mid-way due to a mechanical fault, leaving more trucks behind. The water level is claimed to have increased due to continuous rain and water release from Durgapur Barrage. A driver said that there was also a problem with the collection of garbage. The ghat authorities did not take any action. Finally, an attempt was made to rescue it with a JCB, but it failed. No truck has been rescued yet and no action has been seen from the administration.
