Representatives from the Fire Department, Building Authority, and Social Welfare Office will be available on site to provide information about the project. Please register by July 24, 2025, by email to: [email protected] Background information Fire Station 1, located on the southern edge of Stuttgart's Old Town, is the oldest station of the Stuttgart Fire Department. In order to realize a new building at the current location that will meet future requirements and create modern working conditions, the new interim fire station will be built under the Paulinenbrücke bridge by early 2026 on an area of approximately 1,500 m². This will house the firefighting brigade of Fire Station 1 until the new building on Katharinenstraße is completed. Construction of the new Fire Station 1 is scheduled to begin in 2026. After intensive planning between the participating departments and companies, construction work on the project began at the end of 2024. With the completion of the shell in July 2025, the construction project reached its first major milestone. To mark this occasion, the topping-out ceremony for the interim Fire Station 1 took place on July 16, 2025, in the presence of representatives of the authorities, planners, and tradespeople involved in the construction.
