I hadn't even learned butterfly yet, and I couldn't properly execute starts or turns, but I don't know where I mustered the courage to take on the 50m event at the Masters Swimming Competition. Once I actually got out there, there were many unexpected variables, and from the atmosphere of the competition to the preparation process and the nervousness, it was a day where I learned so much.
