The Riverfire Run - Behind the Scenes with the RAAF Super Hornet Aircrew

Just what does it take to fly the Riverfire Run? Come for a behind the scenes look with Flight Lieutenant Nick callsign 'Clutch' and Flight Lieutenant Slade callsign 'Gassr', as they talk about making their childhood dreams a reality and flying through the skies of Brisbane, for the annual Riverfire event in 2024. From the moment they witnessed the amazing dump and burn by the RAAF F-111, both Nick and Slade set their sights on the goal of one day flying for the Royal Australian Air Force. Eventually realising that dream, with their hard work paying off and assigned to No. 1 Squadron, flying the F/A-18F Super Hornet. Navigating the low level and high speed passes of the Brisbane city skyline is no mean feat, and plenty of planning goes into such an event. Check out our chat with both Clutch and Gassr to see how it all comes together! Thanks to everyone involved in making this production a reality.
