Trauma and Violence Informed Research Panel
Trauma- and Violence-Informed Research Panel What is trauma- and violence-informed research (TVIR)? How is it distinct from other common approaches used in gender-based violence research? What are its strengths and limitations? How can it be applied successfully? Experts in the field explored these questions through brief presentations and a facilitated Q&A session. The panel began with a brief overview of TVIR. Members of the PHAC-funded Trauma- and Violence-Informed Community of Practice then shared what TVIR has meant for their projects, including both successes and challenges applying TVIR in diverse contexts.
