They smell new, the toilets gleam, and most importantly: they run on electricity instead of diesel. On Tuesday, Arriva presented two new trains that will start operating on the Maaslijn from the end of 2027. This does not mean the problems on this track are over yet, but it marks an important step towards the electrification of this route between Nijmegen and Roermond.
