Funeral March (Chopin)--Mark Andrews, Pipe organ solo, 1928
Chopin's Funeral March from his Piano Sonata No. 2 in Bb minor makes for depressing background music, of course, but it's one of THE Halloween standards--and it's been parodied so relentlessly that it's a fun sort of depressing. (Fun-depressing?) British-born organist Mark Andrews wrings every ounce of gloom from this marvelous piece, whose major-mode section I love to death. Er, so to speak. 3/29/1928. Oh, and forgive my previous typo--there was never any "Chopin Mark," as far as I'm aware.
