if you're like me you probably remember a time when you regularly went to the store to pick up movies and games. subscription services like Netflix and Game Pass have ultimately made access to media convenient, but has it made it better? sometimes it feels like we're living in the matrix; in some world crafted to make us comfortable while in the background were being sucked dry. in this video, I want to talk about why I'm against subscription services and how companies are quietly pushing out physical ownership of media in favor of an all-digital future. after all, a used copy is a company's worst fear.
