Iran’s Strait of Hormuz opens as oil prices PLUMMET

Israel carried out strikes in Lebanon overnight into Friday, briefly threatening a newly signed agreement between Iran and the United States aimed at ending their war, before mediators secured a renewed ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. The new truce was brokered by Qatar, the U.S and Iran, three officials said. The officials, who were not authorized to speak publicly, said Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah later agreed to halt hostilities after clashes raised concerns about the stability of the broader Iran-U.S. agreement.
