I used to see Luke & the guys play in the "Village" more than any other band. That was because they played More. Sometimes 7 nights a week. Whenever I had time off, I'd drop in & see what they were up to. Luke was a marvel. A total original. Along with John Finley & George Olliver he lead the Toronto Triumverate of Hogtown "Blue-Eyed-Soul". He was capable of raising the hair on the back of your neck - on any given night. This performance is "Live" in The Purple Onion at a rehearsal. No overdubs - just the band cookin' up some incredibly soulfull Blues. Jim Jones was the techie who put this all together using just a handfull of mikes & a 2-track machine! Enjoy!
