Allotment Diary : Growing a 10 Pound Onion from start to finish.
Growing the 10 pound onion from germination until lifting in September. All the images month to month as it slowly grew from November until September the following year. It's a long old growing season but thankfully this year after 7 years of trying I managed to get to the 10 pound mark. I might try to beat my P.B with a Red Onion next year of just under 5 lbs but the strain seems to have lost it's vigour and is getting smaller these days.
