NACCRI develops solution to control aflatoxins in maize, cereals
Agricultural Scientists at the National Crops Resources Research Institute Namulonge have developed a solution to control the number of aflatoxins in maize and other grains. This innovation, according to the scientists, comes in handy in cases like March 2021 when Kenya banned the importation of maize from Uganda for reportedly containing excess levels of aflatoxins that cause cancer. The innovation was unveiled to Agriculture minister Frank Tumwebaze on Friday during a visit to assess the progress on several research projects being undertaken by the scientists. #ntvnews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter / ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
