Gun as a companion to the SWORD - with sparring tests
Using pistols in a sword fight is well documented in fencing manuals and in first hand accounts of combat, but how does it really work and what is it like to experience, whether as the user or the opponent? Here we talk through some of the history and use of the pistol in a close in fight, and put it to the test in HEMA sparring. Note the muzzle flashes and sound effects are merely added as a simple cue for the audience to understand what is going on and to give some sense of context and enhanced experience.
