Former Kuwaiti Member of Parliament, Dr. Mohammed Al-Dousari, affirmed that Kuwait and the other Gulf states are facing escalating Iranian threats that have become a tangible reality, manifested in violations of maritime sovereignty and attempts to control the Strait of Hormuz, in addition to the continued targeting of vital infrastructure. Al-Dousari indicated that Iran's hostile stance reflects a state of weakness and a loss of control over the course of negotiations with the United States, which is pushing Tehran to try to lure and provoke countries in the region into engaging in conflict and disrupting maritime navigation. He added that the Gulf states are still prioritizing reason and avoiding being drawn into a pointless military confrontation.
