Can You Build an Empire on Archaeotech?

Archaeotech is one of the most unusual and underutilised systems in Stellaris. This video is part of my Empire Setup Field Guide series for Stellaris. The goal of this series is not to rank, tier, or optimise builds for the current meta, but to explain how each empire setup option actually works as a system — what it interacts with, what it enables, and how to play it well over the course of a full campaign. These guides are designed to be spoiler-safe, long-term reference material, and applicable across a wide range of playstyles. In this episode, we take a deep look at the Remnants origin in the Stellaris 4.3 beta. The focus is on understanding what the origin is doing mechanically, and whether it's possible to build an empire that builds only Archaeotech fleets.
