Ribbon-Cutting Held For Jackson River Scenic Trail Phase V (5_1_25)

A detailed ribbon-cutting event was held earlier today (5_1_25) at the Jackson River Scenic trailhead in Bath County - the completion of what is known as the final phase of the 16-mile project. Speakers on the scene today included Josh Taylor (Exec. Dir. of the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism), Jon Fitzgerald (Board President of the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism), Mark Shore (Exec. Director of Visit Bath), Matt Garten (Chairman of the Alleghany County Board of Supervisors), John Lockridge (Chairman of the Bath County Board of Supervisors), Dr. Elda Stanco Downey (Regional Director of the Office of U. S. Senator Tim Kaine), Christopher T. Head (Virginia State Senator for District 3) and Chad Williams (DIrector of Parks & Recreation of Alleghany County).
