What does it take to make it to the top of academic ladder? This inspiring talk tracks Dr. Rameau's fearless journey from the streets of Les Cayes, Haiti to the halls of the University of Florida. Dr. Pavlov Rameau is Haitian by birth, American by choice, citizen of the world by education. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education Administration and a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Florida. He has participated in international study programs such as The Global Citizen in Salzburg, Austria. Dr. Rameau has spoken on subjects such as Slavery: Waiting for an Apology from the African People at the University of the West Indies in Mona, Jamaica; A letter to the Youth of Haiti, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Math Phobia, Probability & God, and Fractals: the most beautiful objects in mathematics, at the STEM conference at UCCI.
