🍛 My Masala Biryani Recipe Ingredients: Sela Rice: 3 cups (soaked in water for 3 hours, then boiled until 80% cooked and strained) Chicken: (cut into pieces) Potatoes: cut in pieces Yogurt: cup (whisked) Tomato Paste: 3-4 tbsp Onions: 2 or 3large (finely chopped) Oil:cup Shan Sindhi Biryani Masala: 1 packet White Pepper Powder: ½ tsp Kasuri Methi (Optional): 1 tsp (for a lovely aroma) Garnish: Fresh coriander leaves, fresh mint leaves, and whole green chillies Method: 1. Fry the Onions Heat oil in a large pot and fry the chopped onions until golden brown. 2. Cook Chicken & Spices Add the chicken and potatoes, sautéing for a few minutes. Stir in the yogurt, tomato paste, Shan Sindhi Biryani Masala, and white pepper. Mix well, cover, and cook until the chicken and potatoes are tender and the gravy is ready. (Stir in Kasuri Methi here if using). 3. Layer and Dum First put all masala and top mint leaves , green chillies and fresh coriander layers boiled rice. Cover tightly and leave on low heat for Dum (steaming) for 7 to 8 Minutes high flame and then 15 minutes until they are done.
