Let's make Homemade Ricotta! Very easy, affordable, and delicious! As I mentioned at the beginning of the video, ricotta, originally from Italy, is a byproduct of other cheeses, such as mozzarella and peccorino. The resulting whey is precisely what ricotta is made with. Since I can't get the animal rennet needed to make mozzarella and obtain the resulting whey here in Switzerland, we're going to make our ricotta with whole milk. We won't add extra cream so it won't be too heavy or expensive. You'll see how exquisite it is, super versatile, and takes very little time! Let's get to work!
