Springer Fishing The Cowlitz River Down By The Confluence Of The Toutle River

The sandy island at the confluence of the Cowlitz River and the Toutle River is something most people don't get to see. In some areas the sand island is fluid, almost floating between the current of both rivers. It is so wet and thick in some spots it is like standing in quick sand on a moving island of sand. The weather was beautiful so I ventured down south to explore an area of the river I have not seen in many years. The scenery is gorgeous and this segment of river that stretches for a a few miles is very quiet with only a few houses spread out along its winding banks. I also ran into another Youtuber who fishes this area frequently. While #fishing for #chinook and #steelheadfishing I tend to ramble about everything that pops into my head. My dad always told me I talk to hear my lips flap. He may have been right. On the island while eating lunch a 6' #sturgeon jumped clean out of the water in the background. I didn't learn until I was editing the video that camera #2 was not turned on.
