Pantry Problems & Property Control Parts (Zero Waste DIY)

One man’s trash is quite literally our new kitchen pantry. With the fridge progress holding strong, Cory is pivoting to the custom pantry cabinets next to it. But we aren’t just running to the big-box store for lumber. True to the spirit of Le Calamita, we are reducing, reusing, and recycling everything we can get our hands on. We’re dissecting old cabinet doors and utilizing structural pieces from trunks we salvaged at property control. If it can be saved, modified, and given a second life, it goes into the camper. While Cory plays Frankenstein with vintage cabinetry, I am still at war with the dust, aggressively cleaning and organizing to keep our chaotic workspace usable. Rebuilding from the floor up is exhausting, but finding a way to create high-level fabrication while keeping materials out of the landfill? That makes the struggle worth it.
