¡Panamá, y sus 15 Triunfos en el Clásico del Caribe!

Panama, the country with the most wins in the Caribbean Classic, with a total of 15 victories! Their first victory in the Caribbean Classic came in 1973, at the Presidente Remón Racetrack in Panama. It was the horse Montecarlo that gave them that unexpected victory, ridden by jockey Marcel Zuñiga. After that first victory, the following year they won the Caribbean Classic again with the horse Barremina, ridden by Jacinto Vazquez. This race was again held at the Presidente Remón Racetrack in Panama. Over the years, Panama has prominently featured its name in every Caribbean Horse Racing Series in which it participates. That's why they are the most successful country with 15 wins in the Caribbean Classic, followed by Venezuela with 13, Mexico with 11, Puerto Rico with 8, Colombia with 1, and the Dominican Republic with 1. This is how many wins each country has in the Caribbean Classic. The last Caribbean Classic won by Panama was in 2016, with El Tigre Mono, ridden by the excellent jockey Félix Salgado. Panama will continue to be present in the Caribbean Horse Racing Series. #OntheRoadtoCaribbeanClassic2018 Videos courtesy of Caribbean Classic/YouTube
