Return to practice webinar one: Potential supervisors and employers
Every organisation wants to recruit, develop and retain a motivated workforce. Supporting returners can help employers to build their capacity and capability to effectively deliver current and future services. We hosted a webinar to bring supervisors and employers together to discuss how best to support OTs to return to practice. Anne Keen, Professional Adviser – RCOT Professional Practice Enquiries Service was joined by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Health Education England (HEE). The webinar will cover topics such as: 1. What is a return to practice programme? 2. Why should we support returners? 3. How can supporting returners improve recruitment and retention? 4. What does the returner need to do? 5. What status can the returner have? 6. Who can provide supervision? 7. Level of supervision? 8. Promoting employing organisations to returners. This event is part of RCOT and HEE collaboration to create an Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Workforce Reform to shape the future of the AHP personnel. Although linked to HEE, the learning applies to all four nations.
