When it opened alongside Disney-MGM Studios in 1989, the Backstage Studio Tour was supposed to be the park's big draw. A 2 hour tram and walking tour through behind the scenes backlots and movie studio soundstages. But over its 25 year history it was never able to live up to its promise, suffering constant cutbacks and experiencing a slow decline from the very start.
