I was in the audience on December 19, 2018 when First Lady Michelle Obama sat down for a chat with Sarah Jessica Parker at the end of the first phase of her book tour promoting her memoir, “Becoming.” The 19,000 seater Brooklyn, New York, arena was filled to capacity, but the conversation still felt intimate. It was, in a word, incredible. There is a tiny break, only a few seconds long, in the beginning because my phone’s alarm went off, but the rest of the video is seamless.
