▶ YouTube playlist: http://buceri.us/verwr-playlist ▶ Playposit: http://buceri.us/verwr-06-playposit Welcome to the next video in our lecture-accompanying video series on General Administrative Law. The videos in this series were not primarily created for YouTube, but for our interactive video platform playposit. Therefore, whenever questions are asked or references are made to other interactive features in the video, this functionality is unfortunately missing on YouTube. In episode 6, things get fundamental: How does public administration actually work? Which standards must be observed, and – above all – what purpose does this entire, relatively formalized procedure actually serve? You'll learn all this and much more in this episode. Enjoy! ▶ Table of Contents 0:17 Introduction 1:20 Purpose of the procedure and formal requirements 2:39 Jurisdiction 4:29 Procedure in the narrow sense (especially hearing) 7:14 Form (especially reasoning) 9:53 Distinction between notification and specificity 10:43 Consequences of error (nullity, cure, and especially irrelevance) 15:27 Summary ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ Michael Fehling, born in Bremen in 1963, has held the chair for Public Law with Comparative Law since September 2001.
