Bergsturz in Brienz – Eine Bauernfamilie bangt um ihre Heimat | Reporter | SRF
For years, the Swiss mountain village of Brienz (GR) has been threatened by landslides and subsoil slides that are destroying houses, roads, and land, endangering livelihoods. The Bonifazi farming family is caught in the middle of it all. Their daily life is characterized by the interplay of hope and resignation. _____________________________________________ 🔔 Subscribe now to SRF Documentaries & Reports on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/srfdok?sub_co... 👉 Would you like to suggest a topic? The unstable rock above the village could begin to move at any moment, while the plateau below on which the village stands is also slipping. Since then, the Bonifazis have experienced an emotional rollercoaster: evacuation, return, another evacuation – accompanied by frustration and expedient optimism. Despite the 2023 landslide that narrowly spared the village, the question remains: Does Brienz have a future? Or is it a lost homeland? Reporter Simon Joller has been following the Bonifazis for over six years, a family that has called Brienz, Graubünden, home since time immemorial. _____________________________________________ ▪ A film by Simon Joller ▪ Collaboration: Christof Franzen ▪ Camera: Gion Huonder, Simon Joller ▪ Editing: Dave D.
