One of the biggest goals was to install lighting throughout the van because working in the dark during winter has been tricky. With the help of some Amazon Prime deliveries—like XT60 connectors—I’ve managed to make some major progress. First, I completed wiring the second 12V fuse board and installed components like USB sockets, switches, and control panels for the Victron system, the diesel heater, and the Bobil hot water system. It was tricky fitting everything together, but once the panels were mounted, it felt like a big step forward. After wiring up the lights, the moment of truth came—and we now have the first glow of light in the van! It’s such a monumental stage, as the van now has light and heat. We can technically camp in it already, which is super exciting. I’ve installed lights for the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, lounge, and some cozy mood lighting. The max air fan is also wired in and working great. There have been ups and downs throughout the build, with some really stressful moments, but now it’s starting to feel fun. Each task brings us closer to the finish line, and it’s becoming the adventure van we’ve dreamed of. Thank you for following along!
