Video Transcript: Hi, I'm James and today I want to tell you about the Hand Evaluation Kit. The Hand Evaluation Kit comes in this very sturdy plastic case and it has foam fitted to protect the very delicate equipment. The first item, the first instrument is the Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer. It's made of quite strong and heavy metal so it is a little bit weighty. You should always use the hand safety strap when you're using the Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer. There are adjustable grip settings along here. For small hands you have the handle back here. For a larger hand you simply need to undo the clip, pull out the handle and then move it to the desired position and do up the clip again. You can see that's all you need to do for a large hand. Now under proper use if you were taking readings you would simply take a look at this dial up here. Now, you can see the red needle moves when I turn this knob. Set it back to zero and when you use it properly and you squeeze as hard as you can. Obviously that's not my strongest but good for the demo! The red needle, the peak hold needle, will remain there until you've taken your reading and then you can simply reset it to zero. I'll do it again - it goes up and maintains its position. Now, this dial measures the grip strength and it is protected with a rubberised coating in case it takes a knock but the Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer is quite delicate so do treat it with care. The second item in the Hand Evaluation Kit is the Pinch Gauge. Again, use the safety strap and it's very similar to the Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer. It has a dial on the front with a peak hold needle. Using it properly you simply need to push the button here to test your pinch and as you can see the peak hold needle goes up and stays and then you reset it. Goes up, reset it. Again, it does have a rubberized backing for a little bit of extra protection but it is a delicate piece of equipment so do treat it with care. The final piece of equipment is the finger goniometer. That measures the measures the passive and active range of motion in your finger. Those are the three items in the Hand Evaluation Kit: the Hydraulic Hand Dynamometer, the Pinch Gauge and the Finger Goniometer and they come in the hard plastic case with foam. That's in stock and ready to ship and available on optomo.com.au
