4K Drive through Matunga & Dadar Parsi Colony | Mumbai

The video starts with us on the Eastern Express highway heading towards Matunga from the North. At 1:20 we enter the Matunga circle and then take the first left. In about a minute we get a glimpse of the Don Bosco Church of Matunga. We drive up and down the Nathalal Parekh Marg for a better view of the church and to explore the residential street. We take a round from behind and re-enter the Matunga circle. This time we take the second left onto Adenwala road. We drive along a few blocks of residential buildings and keep going straight until we hit the Mancherji Joshi 5 gardens complex. It’s still late afternoon but the lawns are already full of strollers and sports enthusiasts. We continue on to the left and at 7:20 hit St Joseph circle from where we move left. We keep moving along the road and then around the 9:00 minute mark we turn into the residential area. The colony is surprisingly quiet for Mumbai. Inside the Parsi colony we pass through a variety of structures – new, heritage, modernist, quirky. Around 12:40 we hit the AREA park in the heart of the colony. We continue wandering aimlessly for a bit and then at 14:03 hit a grand building with what seems to be giant hieroglyphs and some writing etched on its outer walls. It seemed like a religious/ spiritual building but don’t know for sure. It is very close to the Mancherji E Joshi chowk.
