The Essential Albums series returns, this time tackling a particular period in time. Unlike most of the previous episodes where we visited various countries and regions, this time around we are evaluating the period from 1968 to 1973. A period that was undoubtedly pivotal for the creation of Heavy Metal as we know it. Everyone knows about Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, Blue Oyster Cult, Hawkwind etc but make no mistake as there were other records that contributed with as much heaviness and aggression sometimes even surpassing most of the famous bands I have just mentioned.
