Trains at Portadown 3/6/23 Trains seen are Irish Rail 201 Class Loco 206 & DD set 9004, NIR 4000 Class DMU 4001 & Irish Rail (Ex Belmond Grand Hibernian) 201 Class Loco 216 & DD set 9003 216 was originally used on the Belmond Grand Hibernian which was a sleeper train that travelled across Ireland & Northern Ireland until 2019 whenever the set was sold onto another country (possibly Italy or France). 216 however was not sold with the main reason being Irish Rail still having the ownership to her along with the other 201s Since then 216 has been used as a backup 201 for all types of duties, this can include IWT liners, Enterprise services and even Dublin Heuston - Cork Mk4 services It is unknown how long 216 will stay in her “Belmond” livery but rumours are that once this happens she will be repainted into the “Badger / Racoon” livery that loco’s 231 & 233 currently have
