Squantum native John Coughlin, 52, watches from Orchard Beach in Quincy as part of the Long Island Bridge is dismantled with explosives. Coughlin used to play on the island as a boy and his cousin was the church priest out on the island where there was a hospital there. "I hope they don't build a new bridge," he said.
