Many exhibitors are Chinese companies, where technological development is progressing rapidly. This humanoid robot, being unveiled in Japan for the first time, can carry loads weighing up to 50 kilograms. Its upper body moves up and down, allowing it to lift items placed on the floor to a height of 2.3 meters. An AI (artificial intelligence) camera reads ordered items, grasps them, and transports them to a specific location. GALBOT Vice President Aoi Fukawa: "(Q. Is it helpful in addressing labor shortages?) The robot takes orders, looks at shelves, finds items, picks them, places them in a packaging machine, and after the machine packs them, a delivery person comes and delivers them. Because this allows for unmanned operation, it helps alleviate labor shortages." Meanwhile, this robot is also being used in educational settings, and in Beijing, China, it is being incorporated into programming education in schools. Humanoid robots are being developed as a solution to the serious labor shortage caused by factors such as population decline and aging.
