Have you ever wondered how your Riese & Müller bike is actually made? We attended Campus Day in Mühltal and, together with Benny, toured the entire production process – from wheel building and assembly to shipping. We'll show you all of this in this video: The founding story shows how it all began in a parents' garage and what it has become. In the wheel building section, you'll learn why R&M builds its own wheels and how the process works step by step. Thanks to their build-to-order system, each bike is only built once an order is placed. In the quality control section, we see how each frame is inspected before it goes into production. Regarding sustainability, we show how R&M even persuaded Bosch to use more environmentally friendly packaging and explain the reusable bike box. In the cargo department, we explain why cargo bikes require significantly more production steps than regular e-bikes.
